About the School of Health Sciences
We provide a supportive and challenging environment for you to learn and develop. So whether you are just starting out, already qualified or at research level, you'll find everything you need to enhance your career or embark on a new one.
"Our aim is to develop talented and committed professionals who will go out there and make a real difference in the world of health care"
A commitment to research underpins our philosophy and adds to the value of our courses, providing you with learning opportunities based on the best available evidence. Input comes from across the North West and includes our own internationally renowned Centre for Rehabilitation and Human Performance Research.
We understand the importance of ensuring you are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in today’s employment market. To help us do this, we have forged excellent links with both the public and private sector.
We believe in giving you access to some of the best expertise in the UK. That's why we have a number of Honorary Professors who teach or run workshops and also contribute to course development.
You'll also have access to great facilities including our human performance lab, podiatry clinic, gait labs, workshops and skills rooms.
Our courses are subject to rigorous scrutiny, not only from professional bodies and our partners, but also students themselves. Because of this, you can be sure that what you learn with us is current and relevant.
Then, once you have qualified we can offer lifelong learning opportunities from single study days to full Masters degrees that will further enhance your career.
"At the University of Salford, we believe that learning should be relevant, challenging and enjoyable. What do we offer? Commitment, support and a focus on real world learning. That's why students return to us time and again."
